Please be aware! Necklace snatching seems to be on the increase. There have been 2 cases, in San Luis, of necklace snatching which have been reported to me. In both cases a young ,man on a bicycle stopped to ask a question, snatched the necklace and rode off.

A house on Lakeside was broken into recently while the resident was out for a short time. It may only be coincidence but the lady had had a delivery of furniture a few days previously. With hindsight, it is not wise to give anyone the information that someone is living alone. If you need assistance it is better to say your partner has a bad back. On the other hand it may have been an opportunist. In that case, the advice is never go out , even for 30mins, without locking the grills.

A resident of San Luis was only absent for a few hours and was burgled. The robbers prised off the grills and removed the sliding windows. It is very quick and easy to add a lock to sliding windows. Do not be complacent. If you have sliding windows, please, for your own peace of mind, GET LOCKS FITTED.
